ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Junior Jenny Rogers (Randolph Union HS/Brookfield, VT) scored her fourth goal of the game on a free position shot with 27 seconds left in the second overtime Wednesday to lift Rochester to a 7-6 victory over Nazareth in women's lacrosse. The game was the first night game under Nazareth's newly installed lights.

Rogers' goal enabled the Yellowjackets to snap a three-game losing streak and improved their record to 7-4 overall. Nazareth slipped to 10-4.

Rogers scored twice for Rochester in the first half, but the Golden Flyers tied the score before halftime on goals by Sue Hollister (West Genesee HS/Syracuse, NY) and Lorra Podsiadlo (Penn Yan Academy/Penn Yan, NY).

Nazareth opened the second half with three straight goals -- two by Jackie Lombard (Rush-Henrietta HS/West Henrietta, NY) -- to gain a 5-2 advantage. Jessica Lerman (Penn Yan Academy/Penn Yan, NY) fueled a four-goal UR outburst with a pair of goals, including the go-ahead score with 7:05 to play in the second half.

Nazareth's Allison Roberts (Irondequoit HS/Rochester, NY) tied the score at 6-6 with a goal with 4:30 left. After a scoreless first overtime, Rogers took advantage of a free-position opportunity by bouncing a shot past Nazareth goalie Teryn Wineburg (Auburn HS/Auburn, NY).

Wineburg and her UR counterpart, Arna Berke-Schlessel (Hamden Hall/New Haven, CT) each made 10 saves.
