ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Sophomore Manuella DeBarros' (Hun HS/New York, NY) second goal of the game with 1:58 left in regulation capped a Skidmore comeback Sunday and lifted the Thoroughbreds to a 15-14 victory over Nazareth in women's lacrosse.

Nazareth (10-5) led most of the game and by as many as six goals midway through the first half. Skidmore (10-5) closed within 8-6 by halftime, but Nazareth scored four of the first five goals of the second half to take a 12-7 lead. Skidmore rallied to tie the score 14-14 on Megan Lawler's (Suffield Academy/West Springfield, MA) goal with 6:29 to play, setting the stage for DeBarros' game winner.

For Nazareth, Allison Roberts (Irondequoit HS/Rochesrter, NY) scored three goals in the first half and Shawna Kabot (Horseheads HS/Horseheads, NY) and Cindy Brady (Rome Free Academy/Rome, NY) scored twice each as the Golden Flyers surged to an 8-2 advantage. Skidmore finished the half by scoring four straight goals -- two by Bridget O'Connor (Longmeadow HS/Longmeadow, MA) -- to close within 8-6.

Skidmore's second-half comeback was fueled by Lawler, who scored four of her game-high five goals in the second half.

Roberts finished with four goals and four assists for Nazareth. Kabot scored three times and Lorra Podsiadlo (Penn Yan Academy/Penn Yan, NY) had two goals and three assists. Lawler had five goals and two assists for Skidmore and freshman Liza Gorman (Walt Whitman HS/Cabin John, MD) contributed four goals.
