ALFRED, N.Y. -- Junior attackman Avery Burke and senior midfielder Eric Goodberlet each scored three goals Wednesday and sophomore attackman Travis Roost contributed four assists as Nazareth won its 10th straight men's lacrosse game, 21-3, over Alfred.

Nazareth built an 8-0 first-quarter lead and wasn't threatened thereafter. Goodberlet and Jim Cianfrocca each scored twice in that stretch. Alfred scored in the first and last minute of the second quarter, but in between the Golden Flyers (10-0, ranked third nationally) scored five more times, including a pair of goals from Burke, each assisted by Roost.

Roost added two more assists in the third quarter and junior attackman Pat Harrington scored twice in the fourth as the Golden Flyers continued to dominate.

Nazareth used three goalies. Rob Carroll played the first half and made 11 saves. Freshman Travis Kuhl made five saves in the third quarter and Dave Tourville made three more in the fourth.

The Golden Flyers travel to RIT Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. game.
